That´s NOT an orginal TISA.
I get this information from the owner three month ago.
He wrote :
My car is not TISA.
This is VIN Number 1414947 1800TI (1965 Model).
TISA seat, TISA tachometer, TISA steering,
TISA 5speed gearbox, TISA Limited Slip Diff,
TISA weber & EX manifold, e.t.c
There is not genuine TISA in Japan.
He bought the car from USA.
Best regards from Bavarian
I do not know the chassis number of this one but it is certainly a nicely preserved example. And that air conditioning unit is interesting. I believe it was originally imported to the USA as it has a MPH speedometer and an early BMWCCA sticker in the rear window.
The strut bar is made by Robert in't Hout http://www.ridsfab.com/
and can be purchased directly from his site or from Carl Nelson of La Jolla Independent at http://www.bimmerdoc.com/
. Carl is also a purveyor of many NLA old BMW parts in the USA.
